Patrology
Patrology is the study of the lives, teachings, and writings of the early Christian Church Fathers, key figures like St. Augustine, St. Jerome, and Origen. Often used interchangeably with patristics, it examines how these ancient leaders shaped early Christian doctrine, biblical interpretation, and church history from roughly the 1st to the 8th century.
